The Foundation Party is a classically liberal and socially conservative political party in the United Kingdom formed in March 2018. While recognised as a registered party by the Electoral Commission on 29th March 2018, the party is yet to officially launch and open its membership to the public. http://search.electoralcommission.org.uk/English/Registrations/PP6742

The Foundation Party's formal legal status is as a company limited by guarantee (Foundation Party Ltd). It currently has two directors, Chris Mendes and David Allen who is the company secretary. (Company No 11253937)

Founding[edit]

Foundation Party was founded by Cllr Ryan Macpherson, who is a Borough Councillor for Beaver Ward in Ashford, Kent, Chris Mendes, the former Chief Technology Officer for UKIP and David Allen, former UKIP leadership contender (August 2017), Parliamentary candidate (Rochester and Strood 2017), Kent County Council candidate (May 2017) and, Tonbridge Borough Council candidate (December 2016).

Politics[edit]

The party is influenced by ideas from classical liberalism and social conservatism. Amongst the party's core values are national independence, self-determination, equality of opportunity, the rule of law, justice, freedom of speech, civility and peaceful engagement..
