Foxtrail is an outdoor scavenger hunt style activity. Teams of 2 to 6 people follow a trail of interactive clues, codes, and hidden messages.[1] During the activity, there are permanent installations hidden in locations around the city.[2] The concept is based on an imaginary fox, who leaves clues in a trail for teams to find. The trails are done on foot, but sometimes public transport has to be used. Trails can also be adapted for team building activities.[3]
Locations[edit]
There are over 50 Foxtrail adventures in 12 locations around Switzerland, including Zurich,[4] Bern,[5] and Lugano.[6] There are a further nine international Trails in Helsinki, Rome, London, Berlin, Nuremberg, and Paris.[7] The first Foxtrail was created in 2001 in Switzerland. In 2017 the first Foxtrail abroad was inaugurated in Helsinki.[8]
In 2018, new Foxtrails were added in Berlin, Nuremberg, and London.[9]
In 2019, new Foxtrails were added in Rome and Paris.[8]
