Fractal Universe is a French progressive death metal band from Nancy, signed to the label Metal Blade Records.
History
Fractal Universe was founded in late 2014 in Nancy.
With the release of its first EP Boundaries of Reality in 2015, the band started to play shows in France and Europe, sharing the stage with artists such as The Black Dahlia Murder or Monuments and playing Motocultor Festival in 2016.
After the release of its first album, Engram of Decline in April 2017,[1][2] the band toured for about 80 shows all over Europe in 2017 and 2018, including an appearance at Hellfest.[3]
The band's sophomore album, Rhizomes of Insanity was released on 19 April 2019[4][5][6] via Metal Blade Records. It received press coverage in Rock Hard, Metal Injection, Metal Sucks and Gear Gods. This led to the band opening for Whitechapel, The Black Dahlia Murder and Cannibal Corpse.[citation needed]
