Mustaf Salad (born November 01, 1990), better known by his stage name Shadow Wonder, is an American rapper, songwriter, and producer. With Egyptian and Somalian Heritage first generation born and raised in the U.S, Mustaf Hassan Salad Known as $hadow was born on November 01, 1990, in Maryland where he lived for a few years until his Family moved to Columbus, OH., where he would spend the majority of his life, Shadow started rapping while he was enrolled at the Westerville Central High School, But Graduated From Horizon Science Academy. He is currently an enrolled Senior at Ohio State University.
Early Life[edit]
Mustaf Salad was born in silver spring Maryland, but currently lives in Columbus Ohio where he spent most of his life he has always had a love for music since his father bought him a keyboard for his birthday and took him to see his uncle "Hassan Aden Samatar" Show in Columbus as a child who is a traditional Somali poet ans singer. He always loved reading and performing spoken word with his first rap song being recipient at his tenth grade Poetry Slam. Till he decided to become a rapper.
Early Career[edit]
During 10 to 12 Grade He was known by his Nickname Shadow which came from his saying "shadows still need light to shine". He created a Myspace music page and had some popularity for a while even being added by Lil Mama and Young Berg, He became known as a battle rapper and was always one to participate in cyphers, during the first years while still having buzz in the streets. He was always dedicated to his craft but he ended up getting caught up too deep in his persona $hadow, Hence he paused his rap career due to some family problems for most of his early college years he dropped out of Ohio State University around 2011. Until when he re-enrolled 2015 he started getting back at his love for Spoken Word and Rap and his love for song-writing working hard to better his craft until he released his second Mix-tape Called " The 40 Thieves Code".
