Frances Chinwendu Theodora Okeke[1] is a Nigerian actress, writer, blogger, and producer. She began her film career in 2011 and has been featured in movies such as B for Boy, Nduka, Idemuza, and Jenifa's Diary. She wrote Quagmire, Unbroken, Story Story, and Hellcat. She is a two-time winner of the Homevida Screenwriting competition.[2]
She is a polyglot who speaks English language, Igbo language, Nigerian pidgin, French language, German language, and Turkish language in varying degrees. She runs the blog www.francesokeke.com, where she shares her thoughts.
Early life[edit]
Frances Chinwendu Theodora Okeke[3] was born in Uruakpan, Cross River State, but hails from Imo State in Nigeria. She grew up in Lagos, Nigeria.
Education[edit]
She attended the Marist Comprehensive Academy in Abia State, a Catholic missionary school run by Saint Marcellin Champagnat reverend brothers. In 2006, she attended FlorinTech Computer Institute where she had a Diploma in Systems Engineering. In 2011, she graduated from the prestigious University of Benin (Nigeria) where she obtained a Bachelor of Arts in French with Second-class honors, Upper-division. In 2012, she went to the Lagos Finishing School, where she got a Diploma. In 2012, she attended the Centre for Excellence in Film and Media Studies under the tutelage of Amaka Igwe and got a Diploma in Screenwriting. In 2017, she attended Pan-Atlantic University, where she had yet another Diploma in Screenwriting.
She is presently studying for her Master's in Business Administration at Eastern Mediterranean University, Cyprus.
In addition to her honors, she took part in the Method Acting training under the tutelage of Nick Monu.
She was also trained in screenwriting by Dapo Oshiyemi of Talking Drum entertainment (UK).
