Francesco Bottin

Francesco Bottin (Padua, 1944) is an Italian philosopher and academic. He is full Professor emeritus of History of Philosophy at the University of Padua (Italy) director of the CIRFIM (Interdepartmental Centre for Research in Medieval Philosophy) from 1989 until 2005 and from 2008 until 2013. His works primarily focuses on Western and Arab medieval philosophy, logic and sign theory: meaning, inference, paradoxes and semantic antinomies.
