Francis Maximilien Yvan Boulle (born October 20, 1988 in London, England) is a British-American comedian, author, entrepreneur, podcaster and founding cast member of Made in Chelsea.[1] [2][3][4][5]

He is known for developing and starring in the BAFTA Award winning structured reality series Made in Chelsea[6] and co-hosting the UK number one podcast Private Parts with Jamie Laing. [7][8] [9]

Early life and education[edit]

Boulle was born in London, England but spent most of his childhood in France and the US. He completed his education at the the Oratory School, a British boarding school founded by John Henry Newman as a Catholic alternative to Eton College. Boulle went on to study Philosophy and Economics at the University of Edinburgh. [10] [11] [12][13]

Career[edit]

Business Interests[edit]

Boulle began sourcing diamonds for private clients whilst at boarding school and went on to set up an independent commodity brokerage in his second year of study at the University of Edinburgh.[14] He sourced, brokered and traded precious metals and diamonds and facilitated their export from West Africa and South America to Europe and the Middle East. [15] In May 2011 Boulle received international press coverage for establishing the viral website, www.sexymp.co.uk,[16][17] which allows visitors to rate the attractiveness of members of the House of Commons. On the website, Boulle said that he wanted "to create a fun and memorable tool to help the British public get to know their Members of Parliament".[18] In 2013 Boulle moved to Ghana and spent 4 years developing and mining several gold assets he discovered. [19] In 2017 Boulle launched a super premium range of ciders inspired by his love of Japan and the Fuji apple called Yosshi Cider. [20][21] [22][23]

Media Career[edit]

In 2010 Boulle was approached by a subsidiary of NBCUniversal to co-develop and participate in a pilot for a London based version of hit US reality TV show The Hills. The pilot starring Boulle resulted in a series being commissioned by E4 and went on to become international hit BAFTA award winning reality show "Made in Chelsea" currently in its 19th Season.[24] In 2017 Boulle partnered with fellow Made in Chelsea co-star Jamie Laing to create Private Parts a weekly podcast focused on "the most intimate and sordid details" of their lives. Private Parts is regularly number one in the UK podcast charts and in 2019 was nominated for Best Entertainment Podcast category at the British Podcast Awards.[25] [26] [27][28] [29]
