Francisco Ramírez, Jr. (born September 1, 1981 in Hanford, California) was elected to the Hanford City Council in November 2015. [1]
Fair Political Practices Commission[edit]
In August 2015, Ramírez was the subject of complaint filed with the California Fair Political Practices Commission (FPPC), the oversight committee for political campaigns in California, over his 2014 campaign.[2] Ramírez was subsequently the target of an anonymous letter campaign, making allegations about Ramirez' background, business practices and fundraising during the campaign.[3]
In June 2016, Ramírez publicly said that he was the unnamed politician named in a report by a grand jury in Kings County, which said that the politician knowingly failed to file the correct FPPC form, failed to open a bank account for his campaign as required by campaign oversight law, and misled voters about his academic credentials.[4]
