Fred Lutley

Fred Lutley was a man who lived from 1860 to 1886. He was murdered on the 19th of May by Apaches in the Dragoon Mountains in Arizona, USA. He is buried at Tombstone cemetery.[1] According to his brother William Lutley, he was originally from Somerset, England. He worked as a wood contractor in Cochise County, Arizona.[2]

The violence carried out by Native Americans over a three-year span, during which Fred Lutley was killed, prompted the U.S. Army to capture Geronimo and his group, ultimately relocating them to Florida.[3]
