Fred Whicker
Fred Whicker (1901–1966) was an Australian-born artist who moved to Britain in the 1930s.[1][2] In 1931, he married Gwen Cross who was also a painter.[3][4][5]
Whicker painted figures and landscapes in oil, tempera and watercolour media. He had exhibitions at the Royal Watercolour Association, and was a member of the New Bristol Arts Club.[5]
Works of art in public collections[edit]
Falmouth Art Gallery holds a number of works by Whicker.[6][7] He is also represented in the collections of The Royal Society of Physicians[8] and University of Oxford.[9]
