Early life[edit]

Nnaji was born in Köln to a parents who both worked at a radio station. After completing school, Nnaji moved to Berlin. As of 2017, Nnaji lives in Vilnius.

Career[edit]

Nnaji began his musical career in Berlin, where he worked as a music producer, vocal studio recording engineer and studio singer, songwriter and live performer.

Under the guidance of Marc Secara and Judy Niemack, Nnaji sang in the concert group of the Berlin/Brandenburg jazz choir (Young Voices Brandenburg). Later he performed concerts, workshops and tours as a Tenor and Baritone in the concert group of the German National Jazz Orchestra (BuJazzO), again under the guidance of Professor Judy Niemack and Director Peter Herbolzheimer.

Nnaji produced, wrote and edited songs together with other writers on the music publishing label Sony ATV for the following years.

Together with Stefan Fuhr, Nnaji hosted weekly NeoSoul Jam Sessions in Berlin's cultural center and Jazz Club "Acud".

In 2005, Nnaji met Marijus and Domas Aleksa from D'Orange and Skamp during one of the jam sessions in the club Acud.

After a creative pause from 2012 until 2017, Nnaji gradually resumed a more active role in the creation of Studio Albums and live bands.

Nnaji visited Lithuania for multiple concert tours, performing with popular Lithuanian artists such as the members of Skamp (Victoras Diawara, Erica Jennings, Vilius Alesius)[1], Saulės Kliošas, later in the studio working with Mario Basanov[2], Monika Liu, Liutauras Janušaitis, Jonas Drema and again Domas Aleksa, Marijus Aleksa.

Nnaji will appear as lead singer on an upcoming Studio Album with Mario Basanov, as well as on the upcoming "Deam Catcher" Album by Domas Aleksa.
