Prof. Fredrick Owusu Nyarko Ph.D. who doubles as the royal grandson and the son of the Asantehene Otumfoɔ Ɔsɛi Tutu Ababio II was born at Bomaa in the Ahafo region on the 21/01/1989 to the late Madam Lukaya Kombat Bomaa and Nana Owusu Ansah Akoɔna II of Amanteng He started schooling at Bomaa R/C primary and Junior High School with his twin brother and completed Tepa Senior High School which he, later on, went to the university of cape coast (U.C.C) to do Education and now a teacher at Wiamoase Salvation Army primary school Prof.Fredrick Owusu Nyarko Ph.D. is a father, a poet, a writer, a cultural activist, a Pan African, a literary coach, a spoken word poet, an author, and a traditionalist who has won many local and international awards and citation He started writing poetry and performing in the year 2012 by using Ancestral poet as his stage name and one of the best in Africa and Ghana He released 19 pieces spoken word album titled Nsɛm ne ɔkra (words and soul) in 2019 that brought Dub international poet Ras Takuara from Jamaica to Ghana, his yet to be published anthology is also called "words and soul " a collection of his Ghanaian literature poems, his usage of impeccable Asante Twi and undiluted proverbs in his poetry both written and spoken has made him the favorite among his peers, He won the maiden "the arts and culture awards spoken word artist of the year 2019", Emerging entertainers awards best poet in 2020.
His poem life under the gun(black lives matter ) was used at the International Human Rights Arts Festival in New York City 2020, He was appointed private 1st class Lengerich/Germany Lazarus Union international, He's also a senior member of the Royal brothers club Kumasi, Ghana which seeks to promote Asante history, traditions, and culture.
He was conferred an honorary professor for his linguistics prose by the Logos university international (Unilogos ) Miami Florida, USA and also a Doctor of Humane Letters -L.H.D which is also an academic doctorate as a result of using poetry and culture to promote African literature.
Prof. Dr. Fredrick Owusu Nyarko (Ancestral poet) has been rated by many local and international media to be one of the best young poets of our time, his poem life under the gun (black lives matter ) which enjoyed massive airplay on radio stations in the USA during the black lives matter protest has been the talk of the town, he said his twin brother who's also his manager pushed him into poetry before he fell in love with his godfather Prof. Wole Soyinka and his mentor Mr. Agyei -Adjei Baah. He talks of Nana Antwi Bosiako (Kojo poet) as one of his motivators in poetry because he gave him his first stage to perform as a poet.
His favorite book of all time is things fall apart, Ake`and Myth literature by Prof. Wole Soyinka, His dream is to use poetry as a tool to promote culture and the African tradition and also have a positive impact on human lives, Fredrick Owusu Nyarko enjoys several extracurricular activities, notably, socio-cultural discussions, hang-outs, reading, research in history and culture, exploring the consciousness of human life, and pouring of libation.
