Free Democratic Israel (Hebrew: ישראל חופשית דמוקרטית) is a libertarian political party in Israel founded by former Yisrael Beiteinu MK Eli Avidar in 2022. It currently has no representation in the Knesset but will participate in the November 2022 election.
The name of the party is currently under question, as an existing nonprofit organization in Israel, the Free Israel Movement, has held a similar name to the announced one for the party, Free Israel, since 2009. They have stated that if Avidar attempts to go through with using the name, they will take legal action to prevent it.[5][6] The name was later changed to Free Democratic Israel.[citation needed]
