French Bee flight 711 was last French bee flight of the day from San Francisco to Paris Orly on the Paris – San Francisco – Papeete – San Francisco – Paris-Orly route in 4 February 2020 . During landing the first officer received predicted wind shear warning. Captain ordered the go around. First officer started to make unusual inputs due to pilot incapacitation. The crew carried out 2 go around's before landing in Paris Orly international airport. The plane was Airbus A350 registered F-HREV.
The Crew
The pilot monitoring was the captain who was 41 year old male who had a total of 8,000 hours of total flight time and 2,000+ of those hours on A330/A350 . Accompanied by pilot flying first officer who was 45 year old male who had a total of 8600 hours of total flight time and 1,200 of those hours on A330/A350. The relief pilot was a 50 year old female with 11,700 hours of total flight time and 3,400 of those hours on A330/A350 who at the time was sitting on a jump seat.
Accident
The crew were preparing for a landing to Paris Orly international airport. The aircraft was aligned for ILS 25 approach[1] when predicted wind shear warning sounded off.[2] The captain immediately ordered a go around. the First officer made a slight pitch up bringing the nose up to 8° and moved the thrust lever to TOGA position. After few seconds First officer engaged the GA SOFT mode and extended flaps CONF 3. [3] Captain told the Air traffic control that they are carrying a go around. The ATC cleared to climb to missed approach at 2,000 ft.
