French Latino is a music group created in France in 2009 by the singer-songwriter-musician Jean-Paul Gavino with his daughter and co-lead vocalist Michelle.[1]
The Latin-Mediterranean oriented group[2] mixes different styles from Europe, Africa and South America such as Flamenco, Jazz, Boléros, Salsas, Tcha Tcha, Bachatas and performs in French, English, Spanish, Brazilian and Italian.[3]
Adaptation
Besides original compositions, French Latino covers in different languages famous Latin songs, such as Besame mucho, Parole, parole, El Reloj, and offers original adaptations in Spanish:
- Andalucía written by Antonio Gutierrez, on the album Guarda la esperanza, is inspired from the Serenade composed by Franz Schubert
- "Le ciel, le soleil et la mer" originally by Francois Deguelt became "Hay cielo el sol y el mar" on the album Merci; the song is written, recorded and mixed in the studio Unomusic by Luis Villa and Latin Grammy holder Miguel Ángel González..[4]

Partnership and award
The dancers José Aranda and María Vela, winners of the World Latin Dance Cup of Salsa in 2021[5] participate in the clip Bolero 21 from the album Merci[6] with an original choreography.[7]
Since their performances, such as Historia de un Amor, are followed by several millions viewers[8], the band has received the Silver Creator Award by Youtube in 2021.[9]
