Freshtohome is a Bangalore based vertically focused E-grocery company dealing in fish, meat and vegetable products. The organisation is operational in Delhi-NCR, Dubai, Karnataka, Kerala, Tamil Nadu, Mumbai and Pune. As reported in November 2019, organisation had a million customers[1][2][3][4] Founded in 2015 by Shan Kadavil and Mathew Joseph,[5] Freshtohome directly procures from local fisherman at the coasts allowing for no chemical additions in the products.[6][7] The organisation initially received a funding of USD 11 Mn led by CE-Ventures. In August 2019, the organisation received a funding of USD 20 Million from Iron Pillar and Japanese investor Joe Hirao.[8][9][10][11][12][13]

The organisation uses technology to remove middlemen. Typically, fishermen have to auction the fish they catch. The app developed by Freshtohome is easy to use with pictures of different fishes and fishermen can choose and trade. The app is currently being used by 1500 fishermen across the states.[2] Freshtohome also supports the farmers with capital and technology to allow for large scale fish production.[9][6][14] The organisation adopted a contactless delivery model because of Covid 19 pandemic.[15]
