Biography
Friday Pilots Club formed in 2013 in Indiana The bands singer and guitarist Caleb Hiltunen attended Columbia College in Chicago.
Collaboration with Drew Polovick led to their second EP South State. The band played at Austin's SXSW and toured extensively the following year. In 2017, Fornari, Rydholm and Mole left the band. Hiltunen and Polovick added guitarist Sean Burke, guitarist James Kourafas and drummer Eric Doar as touring members. During this time (late 2017 - early 2018) the band release their singles End of It , Bad As Hell , Would You Mind , Gold and Bones and PRBLM[2]. Since early 2018, guitarists Sean Burke and James Kourafas and drummer Eric Doar have become an offical part of the band's line-up.
In 2019, Friday Pilots Club signed to Big Machine Records and released the John Fields - produced single Glory[3]. On October 11, 2019, they released their third EP entitled While You Wait[4]. Following on from 2020 's Breaking My Bones and Look Better In Gold and 2021's I Don't Care, the band released their fourth self-titled EP Friday Pilots Club on May 7, 2021. With the single For the Wicked in September 2021, the group announced that they are working on their fifth EP[5]. In the fall of 2021 FPC left their then label Big Machine Records shortly before their fall 2021 tour over creative differences and a lack of creative control. Their single For The Wicked and others were initially shot down by Big Machine Records before being released as an independent artist, to great reception.
