Friends Keep Secrets 2 is the reissue of American record producer Benny Blanco's debut studio album Friends Keep Secrets (2018). It was released by Friends Keep Secrets and Interscope Records on March 26, 2021.
Background
In an interview with Variety, Blanco said:
"I just wanted to keep adding to it. I remember how Kayne kept changing the mixes and the songs on "Life of Pablo," which I thought was awesome. I want my body of work to live together. Keep adding songs to that — it'll be my one album. Maybe in a few more years, I can take off songs that don't feel right to me anymore, and put on new ones. By the next time we speak, who knows what "Friends Keep Secrets" will be."[1]
In a Universal Music Group press release, Blanco said:
"This is my second album...from my heart to yours. I still can't believe when I put out music anybody wants to hear it outside of my own family and my friends just being nice to me. This truly means the world to me. Thank you!"[2]
Promotion
In celebration of the album's release, Blanco teamed up with American burger chain Shake Shack to add new menu items:
"I've known Mark Rosati for a while and we both have a major passion for food, burgers and Shake Shack. We have talked for a long time about doing something together and finally got a chance to get into the kitchen and make this special burger. Also, this is a perfect opportunity for shameless self-promotion so...my album is coming out :)"[3]

Kyann-Sian Williams of NME called the album "another success that puts Blanco's collaborators' emotional storytelling at the forefront."[4] Similarly, Allison Stillman of 34th Street Magazine called the album "a short yet layered album that encompasses blanco's rawest emotions, his comical perspective on the past, and the remembrance of two of his two closest friends—Juice WRLD and 6 Dogs."[5]
