Fronta Poblachtach or Republican Front is an Irish Republican organisation, founded around January 2025 that advocates for the creation of a 32-county Irish Republic, based on the Democratic program of the first Dáil and 1916 proclamation.
Ideology
They have been described as "Dissident Republicans" and critical of immigration.[1] , with prominent members identifying as Socialist and Anti-Imperialist [2]
The group state they are "Committed to the re-establishment of the 32 County Irish Republic proclaimed in 1916[...]This means the removal of the foreign Imperialist presence that is the British state in the 6 counties, the EU-backed regime in the south, and the removal of the stranglehold of foreign capital across the whole nation."[3]
They also state they are "Committed to the restoration and preservation of Gaelic language and culture, "an Ireland not merely free but Gaelic too.""
Actions
The organisation were behind the erection of tricolours across Dublin city and other parts of the country, [1] They were also present at the Citywest protests in 2025, releasing a statement highly critical of the IPAS and immigration system in Ireland, laying the blame at the feet of the EU and "Multinational elites" [1]
