The College of Management, Fu Jen Catholic University (Chinese: 輔仁大學管理學院) is the business school at Fu Jen Catholic University, a leading Private catholic university in New Taipei City, Taiwan.
The College is the first top business school in Taiwan to be accredited by AACSB,[2] and is the member of Beta Gamma Sigma, AJCU-AP, and IAJBS. Due to its highly internationalization and powerful AWS cloud computing teaching resources, the College ranks among Taiwan's top five business schools for years.
History[edit]
- 1963, the Department of Business Management (工商管理學系) was established.
- 1964, the Department of Business Management was renamed the Department of Business Administration (企業管理學系) and was affiliated to the Fu Jen School of Law. Afterward, and the School of Business (輔仁大學商學院) was established, under its jurisdiction the Department of Economics, the Department of Business Administration and the Department of Accounting and Statistics
- 1972, the Department of Economics was changed to the School of Law, and the Department of Accounting and Statistics was separated into the Department of Accounting and the Department of Statistics.
- 1973, the Department of International Trade and the Computer Center were established.
- 1981, the Department of Information Management was established, which was the first DIS in Taiwan.
- 1982, the School of Business was renamed the College of Management (輔仁大學管理學院).
Rankings[edit]
The transnational joint program Master of Global Entrepreneurial Management (MGEM) co-organized by Fu Jen, IQS School of Management in Spain and University of San Francisco in the United States was ranked 19th worldwide and 1st in Taiwan by the Financial Times in 2020. This is Taiwan’s only top international business master’s program, and other competitors are ranked around 100..[3]

According to Eduniversal,[4] Fu Jen College of Management ranked among the top 700 worldwide, the fifth in Taiwan and the first in Taiwanese private universities.

International affiliations[edit]
Fu Jen College of Management the only business school in Taiwan that has AACSB, Beta Gamma Sigma, AJCU-AP, and IAJBS (International Association of Jesuit Business Schools) membership.[2][6]
In 2016, Fu Jen College of Management joined the Amazon Web Services (AWS) education program and became an approved member institution of AWS Educate (the first in Taiwan's private universities). The entire university teachers and students have free personal cloud hosting by AWS.[7]
In 2018, Fu Jen College of Management passed the AWS assessment and obtained the only AWS Academy seed teacher training qualification for universities in Greater China region. This makes the college the first to offer AWS original courses in the Chinese-speaking world, providing education equivalent to the AWS Certified Solutions Architect-Associate license (Forbes ranked the world's most valuable information license). The entire university receives an annual AWS cloud device subsidy of US$200 for each teachers and US$100 for each students.[8]
