Born and raised in the southside of New Jersey, he learned how to play several by the age of 14. FUJI DON THE FAMOUS' first release was while he was still in high school and garnered local recognition and success. FUJI DON THE FAMOUS began to receive widespread recognition after releasing several popular songs under the EP "THE FUJI FILES VOLUME ONE".

Early life[edit]

FUJI DON THE FAMOUS was born on August 22, 2000, in Jersey City, New Jersey. In his early infancy, he moved around a lot across New Jersey, until finally settling down with his grandmother in the southside of New Jersey. FUJI DON THE FAMOUS grew up with his grandmother until the age of 17. FUJI DON THE FAMOUS is of Japanese and African-American descent. FUJI DON THE FAMOUS was a fan of Kanye West, Big Sean and Drake. It is even rumored that he is cousins with Drake, through his father's family. He first acquired a guitar at the age of ten and learned how to play songs by Pierce The Veil, My Chemical Romance, Fall Out Boy, Paramore, and Arctic Monkeys.

About his childhood, FUJI DON THE FAMOUS recalled that he and his grandmother had a turbulent relationship and the lack of his birth parents created several mental health challenges. Throughout his childhood, FUJI DON THE FAMOUS mother struggled with drug abuse until she passed away from breast cancer in 2016 and his father was rarely around. FUJI DON THE FAMOUS also spoke of how the little interactions he had with his father always resulted in physical or verbal abuse. Other aspects of FUJI DON THE FAMOUS; childhood life was "full of adventure" as he and his friends would hang out and frequently run into trouble with the law. FUJI DON THE FAMOUS started rapping in a church rap group. This group participated in a faith-based fine arts competition and won second in the nation in 2016. This group eventually disbanded as FUJI DON THE FAMOUS grew away from the church community. From 2017 to 2018 FUJI DON THE FAMOUS was homeless, sleeping in his car, and selling weed. This is where FUJI DON THE FAMOUS' hunger for musical success arose and when he began to record at a Camden, NJ studio. FUJI DON THE FAMOUS along with his friends formed a rap group called "The Diamond Blood Brothers". They marked their brotherhood with a diamond tattoo and continued to record music until 2019. Though they never dropped music a collection of unreleased music is said to be somewhere on the internet. After 2019 the rap group broke up and FUJI DON THE FAMOUS went solo. FUJI DON THE FAMOUS gena to attract an audience in his community, eventually expanding his influence to New York and Philly.

FUJI DON THE FAMOUS started uploading songs on the Internet, under the artist name "Bowes" in high school and the first song he uploaded on SoundCloud was a song called "Wisdom Tooth Freestyle". FUJI DON THE FAMOUS attended Rutgers University and graduated in 2022 with a bachelors of communications, a specialization in leadership/community, a specialization in marketing/PR, a minor in entrepreneurship, and a certificate of recording arts.

Career[edit]

2015-2016: THE CHURCH RAP ERA[edit]

FUJI DON THE FAMOUS began his professional music career after joining a church rap group with one other male and a female. Together they created and performed Christian rap songs for local youth groups and churches. The rap group garnered national success after entering a faith-based fine arts competition. The rap group won second place in a national competition and recorded their track in a LA studio.

2014-2016: THE BOWES ERA[edit]

FUJI DON THE FAMOUS released several songs recorded at home and in a Camden studio while in high school. These songs were released under his former artist name "Bowes" and features the "Bowes Bowes BOwes Bowes Bowes Bowes" intro and outro which gave him local notoriety. Since, these releases have been removed and privatized on the internet

2017-2019: THE DIAMOND BLOOD BROTHERS ERA[edit]

Shortly after releasing tracks under the artist name "Bowes", he changed his artist name to "D. Bowes". During this time he also was a part of the rap group "THE DIamond Blood Brothers" who recorded several tracks but never released them.


2021: THE FUJI FILES VOLUME ONE[edit]

FUJI DON THE FAMOUS first received recognition by making music with his engineer, "Lils Did That", leading to several popular songs being published. He has continued to make music as an independent artist and has teased the release of a new album "Out The Mountain"

2021–present: OOUT THE MOUNTAIN[edit]

In January 2022, FUJI DON THE FAMOUS revealed he was working on an album. He told his fans that the album was called "Out The Mountain" and that it would be released in the summer of 2022.


Personal life[edit]

FUJI DON THE FAMOUS has a diamond tattoo on his left arm. The tattoo was a tribute to his brothers in "The Diamond Blood Brothers". The tattoo is to remind him of "where he came from and who came up with him".

A tiger with blue eyes and a garden armband is tattooed on his left arm. FUJI DON THE FAMOUS also has a large samurai tattoo on his right ribcage.
