FusionOne
FusionOne[1] is a software company that provides synchronization products and solutions, primarily for mobile subscribers, to global carriers, content providers, and handset manufacturers. The privately held company is based in San Jose, California.[citation needed]
FusionOne was originally founded in 1998.[citation needed]
In 2001, the FusionOne platform was extended to support wireless mobile device synchronization.[1]
In 2004, FusionOne and Verizon Wireless launched Backup Assistant, a mobile address book backup service for Verizon Wireless subscribers.[2] On February 16, 2009, FusionOne and Verizon announced they would be working together to sync subscriber address book information across multiple Verizon services, such as mobile, telecom, and FiOS.[3]
On March 17, 2009, the United States Patent and Trademark Office (USPTO) granted FusionOne Patent No. 7,505,762, titled “Wireless Telephone Data Backup System.”[citation needed]
