G&L Scientific is a UK-based life sciences consulting company that provides regulatory affairs, quality assurance, and clinical development services to pharmaceutical and biotechnology companies. The company was incorporated in April 2016 and is headquartered in Marlow, Buckinghamshire, England.[1]
History
G&L Scientific was founded in 2016 by Stephen Loughrey and Peter Griffin, following their earlier company Pharmalink Consulting, which was acquired by Genpact in 2014.[2]
In 2019, the company opened an office in Basel, Switzerland.[3] In 2021, it expanded into Spain, Italy, Germany, and France, and opened a site at the Barcelona Science Park.[4]
The same year, G&L relocated its Belfast office to Lanyon Place.[5]
In April 2024 a majority investment in G&L Scientific was completed by Armira, a Munich-based investment holding.[6]
In June 2024, G&L acquired SmartStep Consulting, a Hamburg-based market-access consultancy.[7][8]
In January 2025, G&L announced the acquisition of Omakase Consulting, a Barcelona-based market-access firm.[9] Spanish company registry notices subsequently recorded G&L Scientific Ltd as the sole shareholder (“socio único”).[10]
The businesses operate under the G&L Group of Companies umbrella.[11]
Operations
G&L provides services spanning regulatory affairs, quality and compliance, and clinical/medical writing support for life-sciences clients.[12] As of 2022, the company had offices in Marlow, Basel, Barcelona, Belfast, London, and Madrid.[13]
Awards and recognition
G&L Scientific received a King’s Award for Enterprise (International Trade) in 2024.[14][15] The company had previously been among the Buckinghamshire winners of the Queen’s Awards for Enterprise in 2022 (International Trade).[16]
