Günter Prinz (born July 30 1929 in Ober-Weistritz, Schweidnitz; died November 14 2020 in Hamburg) was a German journalist.
Life[edit]
In Berlin, Prinz went to school at Gustav-Langenscheidt-Schule in Berlin-Schöneberg and at Prinz-Heinrichs-Gymnasium. After school he worked for German newspaper Der Tagesspiegel as police reporter. In 1950er he worked as newspaper journalist for Berliner Morgenpost and B.Z. in Berlin and then since 1959 for magazine Quick. Since 1966 Prince worked in Hamburg for BILD.[1] From 1971 to 1980 Prinz was editor-in-chief of German newspaper Bild; he followed in 1971 Peter Boenisch. [2] In May 1987 Prinz left BILD and worked for German journalist Hubert Burda. In 1991, Prinz went back to BILD.[3] His son is German lawyer Matthias Prinz.
