Paul Ronzheimer (* July 26, 1985 in Aurich) is a German journalist, tv-moderator and war correspondent.

Life

Ronzheimer lived in his childhood in East Frisia. He went to Gymnasium Ulricianum in Aurich. After school he worked as a journalist for the newspaper Emder Zeitung. Since 2008 Ronzheimer has worked as a journalist for the German newspaper BILD.[1] As a war correspondent, he was in Ukraine, Libya, Turkey, Syria, Afghanistan and Iraq.[2][not in citation given] As an openly gay German journalist, Ronzheimer asked the Iranian politician Mohammad Javad Zarif "Why are homosexuals executed in Iran?".[3] In February/March 2022, Ronzheimer was a war correspondent in Kiew during the 2022 Russian invasion of Ukraine.[4] In March 2022 Ronzheimer interviewed, in exclusive talks, Ukrainian president Volodymyr Zelenskyy [5] and also the Klitschko brothers in Kiew.[6]
