GAKIC
GAKIC is a registered trademark and brand name for a widely available oral nutritional supplement shown to enhance muscle performance and recovery time. Among other ingredients, it contains a formulation of the amino acid glycine as well as the L-arginine salt of α-ketoisocaproic acid calcium.
Clinical studies in humans[1][2] demonstrate that oral consumption enhances muscle performance and recovery from fatigue by sustaining muscle force and work output during intense anaerobic exercise. This has been measured by the use of isokinetic dynamometer telemetry,[3][4] and Wingate sprint cycle ergometry.[5]
