Gee Jay is the professional name of “Gloria Johnson” (born 12th of August 1989) is a Singer from Nigeria.[1] [2]

Early life[edit]

Gee Jay was born in "Apana" in Edo State Etsako west local government area,and grew up in Minna Niger State in Nigeria, to the family of "Mr Johnson Alemoh" and" Mrs Maria Johnson". She completed her primary and secondary education in Minna Niger State.[3] after her secondary school, she proceeded into hair styling professionally in the city of Abuja . In 2010 she started pursuing her music career with the help a Nigerian multitalented singer "Adebayo Adebisi" popularly known as "TTY NONI" she released her first single titled "Dab for me" which received positive reviews and became the best new single of the year. In 2016 Gee Jay was featured by the popular duo P-Square on a song titled "Bank Alert Gospel"[4] [5]released on 27th of December same year, subsequently Gee Jay released other singles titled"sweet mama" and"Hakuna matata (zero worries)

Milestone in career[edit]

She is the creator of P-Square Bank Alert Gospel version[6][7] music and it went viral globally[8] Facebook YouTube[9] subsequently also received positive reviews from notable art critics via newspapers and Nigeria entertainment platforms like NotJustOk were her gospel version of “Bank Alert” reached 25,000 free downloads and above in one day from various Nigeria most visited music platforms[10] and the freestyle video was uploaded ontoYouTube Instagram[11] where one of the duo “P-Square” heard the gospel version of Bank Alert which gained over 17 million views on social medias, Gee Jay was honoured for her innovation which fueled the P-Square to feature her on her "Bank Alert" Gospel version. She won best Nigeria music covers 2016 [12][13]
