GFour Productions produces shows throughout the United States and across the world, including on Broadway, the West End, Off-Broadway and for national tours, with their productions further licenced worldwide. Today, Kenneth Greenblatt remains as Chair of the company, with Seth Greenleaf the current CEO.[1]
Background[edit]
Kenneth Greenblatt began as producer of Nine The Musical in 1981, opening on May 9, 1982 and winning his first Tony Award for Best Musical.[2] Greenlatt continued to produce on Broadway, first with Mark Schwartz and then with John J. Pomerantz, with major productions including My One And Only, Zorba and The Rink, but his biggest success was again as a solo producer with La Cage Aux Folles which won him another Tony Award for Best Musical, following these up with shows such as Grand Hotel and Big The Musical. In this period, Greenblatt's shows recieved 69 Tony Award nominations, winning 24.
GFour Productions[edit]
Greenblatt then formed GFour Productions to executive produce Menopause The Musical with Alan Glist, Kathi Glist and his wife Sandra in 2002, which ran for four years Off Broadway and continues to run in Las Vegas, on a national tour and worldwide. The company produced further Broadway shows during this time, including Ring Of Fire, 9 to 5 (musical) and the Steppenwolf Theatre Company transfer of Who's Afraid of Virginia Woolf? in 2012.
Greenleaf Productions[edit]
Greenblatt's son, Seth Greenleaf, began his own theatrical production company Greenleaf Productions[3] during this time, producing the Broadway revival of Fiddler On The Roof in 2015 and transfers from the West End including The Play That Goes Wrong, Groundhog Day (musical) and American Psycho (musical), before becoming CEO of GFour Productions in 2019.[4]
