G. Gangadhar, (full name Guddaiah Gangadhar) born on January 15, 1969 in Bangalore, India is an Indian film actor and producer known for his works in Kannada[1][2]. He has produced blockbuster movie Mungaru Male 2[3] under the banner EK Pictures. He was executive producer for blockbuster movies like Mungaru Male[4], Moggina Manasu which introduced talents like Golden Star Ganesh, Rocking Star Yash & Radhika Pandit.
Early life[edit]
People who know Gangadhar well, fondly recall, ‘as a young boy, Gangadhar was very active. He was more of an outdoor person than regular school curriculum student. He was not all that talkative but attracted many. He was always seen in familiar groups’. Since he studied his Middle school & High school in Bangalore West, his social bonding & connections with people is huge & strong here. Geographically, Bangalore West is a center of all his activities, even today.
A Budding Leader[edit]
During his PUC days itself he was an active volunteer of ‘Dr. Rajkumar Abhimaani Sangha’. And went on to putting up a statue of Dr.Rajkumar in his area, which is a land mark in Bangalore, even now. By the time he finished his Degree in ‘Basaveshwara Degree College’, the Leader in Gangadhar was already blossomed. He founded ‘Shivanagara Yuvakara Vedike’. Through this he brought all the local youths on one platform. And started organizing many social events. He founded the ‘Annapurneshwari Devasthaana Samiti’ too.
For the State & Language:[edit]
He is a public figure on his own merits. There existed a natural pull towards Karnataka’s Political & Social matters. He involved actively in many serious issues of that time. Like, ‘Mahadaayi Horata’ ‘Kaveri Neerina Horata’ etc. He was and still is a front runner for any issues related to Kannada – the local language. He rallied for many ‘Kannadapara Horatagalu’ in Karnataka state.
Socially Concerned Activities:[edit]
Every year distributing Free books, Computers & Scholarships to economically poor students.
Distributing free Uniforms to Local Auto drivers.
Conducting ‘Annual Blood donation Camps’.
‘Auto stand’ and a ‘Bus stop’ in Shivanagar, Bangalore says a lot about how he is connected with common people.
Politically Concerned:[edit]
In 1988 - He became the youngest General Secretary of Janata Dal, Student wing.
His work was noticed and appreciated by Deve Gowda (Former Prime Minister of India), H.D. Kumara Swamy and E. Krishnappa.
In 2006 – He joined BJP. Worked with B. S. Yediyurappa, Ananth Kumar & MLA Suresh Kumar.

It was ‘Mr. Rockline Venkatesh’ who induced interest for Kannada Film Production related activities in Gangadhar.
From here he goes on to produce a Kannada movie ‘Sriramapura Police Station’ along with J.J. Krishna in 2004 staring Sai Kumar & Durga Shetty.
In 2006 – Gangadhar became the Executive Producer of ‘Mungaru Male’. A film that became a biggest block buster in Kannada Film Industry.
In 2007 – His ‘Moggina Manasu’ wins State Award and many Film fare awards as well.
In 2016 – Gangadhar becomes an Independent Producer. Under his own banner E.K.Pictures. He goes on to produce Mungaru Male 2 (Sequel to Munagaru Male). He brings in stars like Ganesh, V. Ravichandran, Sadhu Kokila and many others. This time he introduces another talent ‘Neha Shetty’.
