Gametop is a computer games developer and a publishing company. The company was founded in Russia in 2006 by Sergei Eliseev and incorporated in Singapore 2015 and is headquartered there as well. Before the change of the business model in 2004, the company was known as Media Contact LLC and Sunny Games. The company offers games on their website which are available as free downloads for Windows, Mac, iOS and Android platforms.

Games Publishing[edit]

Gametop licenses and publishes games from several independent game development studios such as Awem, Nevosoft, Elephant games and others. The games are typically licensed with non-exclusive contracts and are therefore might be available from other major publishers as well.[1]

In 2015 the company published two studies about casual gamers. The first study compared two key gaming markets, United States and India.[2] The second study focused on Southeast Asian gamers.[3][4]

Exposing hackers[edit]

Gametop.com was targeted by an unknown group of hackers using a "bait and switch" technique against Google in late 2015. The company was instrumental in exposing the illegal activities as reported by Danny Sullivan from Search Engine Land.[5]
