Gaming Nexus is a multiplatform video game website that operates out of Columbus, Ohio. Its coverage focuses on reviews and news, although the website also offers previews and other articles. The website began its fifth year of operations as a wholly separate entity in September 2006.
Gaming Nexus was originally founded in 1997 by William Abner to provide web readers with high-quality game reviews and news. Gaming Nexus merged with a few sites over the years, most notably Gamepen.com. In September 2002, Gaming Nexus split from Gamepen.com, returning to its own entity and has been operating independently ever since. The website is currently owned and operated by John Yan, who designed and developed it. It had a weekly radio segment that aired on the WWCD morning show from August 2005 to July 2008.
Gaming Nexus covers all new and last-generation consoles, current portables, and PCs, including pages for the Xbox 360, PlayStation 3, PS4, Xbox One, Wii, PlayStation 2, Xbox, Gamecube, PlayStation Portable, Nintendo DS, Game Boy Advance, and PC. Gaming Nexus' reviews are included in GameRankings' and Metacritic's composite scores.[2][3]
