Gammachiis Aboye is an Ethiopian military leader who is Deputy Commander-in Chief of the Oromo Liberation Army.[1] He was initially the deputy commander of the OLA's southern operations under Gollicha Dhenge.[2][3] Gammachiis replaced Gollicha Dhenge after the latter's fallout with the OLA's High Command. Following the OLA's reshuffle in its July 2021 General Assembly, Gammachiis was appointed overall deputy commander-in-chief of the OLA.[4]
In November of 2021, Gammachiis told the BBC that Addis Ababa had been encircled by his forces.[1]
