Mihret Abebe (born 1988) is an Ethiopian beauty pageant title holder who represented Ethiopia in Miss World 2007 in Sanya, China.[1] She did not advance to the semifinals of the pageant.
Early life[edit]
Mihret was born and raised in Teferi Kela, SNNPR. After completing high school she entered started competing in beauty pageants.[1] She is currently a student at Addis Ababa University class of 2018.[2]
Miss World 2007[edit]
Mihret was selected as the representative of Ethiopia for Miss World 2007. During November, She lived for one month with the other contestants. She appeared at the 57th Miss World pageant held at the Crown of Beauty Theatre, Sanya, People's Republic of China on December 1, 2007. Along with the other contestants, Mihret recorded the official torch relay anthem "Light the Passion, Share the Dream" for the 2008 Olympic Games as a major cooperation between the Beijing Olympic Committee and Miss World which was first broadcast to a global audience at the Miss World final.[3]
