Gareth neighbour
Dr Gareth Neighbour is Head of Mechanical Engineering and Mathematical Sciences at Oxford Brookes University and leads the world-renowned motorsport education facility. Notable alumni from the department include Adrian Reynard, Gavin Ward amongst others and honorary graduates of Pat Symonds, Adrian Newey and in 2015 John Surtees OBE. He is also an editor of the journal Carbon produced by Elsevier.[1]
Previously he chaired the British Carbon Group, which is a specialist group by the Royal Society of Chemistry, Institute of Physics and Society for the Chemical Industry. He also chairs the UK's Graphite Core Committee.
Oxford Brookes University is noted for its performance in FSAE and UK's Formula Student competition, being the best UK team in 2014 and 2012 and five times overall.
