Garrett Klotz (born November 27, 1988) is a Canadian professional ice hockey left winger who currently plays with the Quad City Mallards in the ECHL. He was selected by the Philadelphia Flyers in the 3rd round (66th overall) of the 2007 NHL Entry Draft.

Playing career

He spent four seasons in Flyers organization, but couldn't impress the management, registering only 11 points in 155 games with American Hockey League affiliates, the Phantoms. On October 4, 2012 he signed with Norfolk Admirals.[1]

After winning the Ray Miron Cup with the Allen Americans, Klotz signed a one-year contract with inaugural club, the Indy Fuel of the ECHL on July 8, 2014.[2] Klotz was selected as an alternate captain of the fuel for the 2014โ€“15 season. After scoring just 1 goal in 30 games, Klotz was placed on waivers and claimed by the Wichita Thunder on March 27, 2015.[3]

As a free agent, Klotz opted to continue in the ECHL, signing a one-year contract with the Elmira Jackals on August 21, 2015.[4] After completing the 2015โ€“16 season with the Jackals, Klotz turned abroad as a free agent, signing a one-year deal with English outfit, the Coventry Blaze of the EIHL, on July 7, 2016.[5] Klotz departed Coventry at the conclusion of his one-year deal, leaving the club in May 2017.[6]
