Gary Bric is a former restaurant owner and former politician in California. Bric is a former mayor of Burbank, California.
Early life and education[edit]
In 1970, Bric graduated from Burbank High School in Burbank, California.[1]
Bric attended Los Angeles Valley College and University of Portland.[1]
Career[edit]
Bric was a bartender. In 1993, Bric became the owner of Gary Bric's Ramp, a steakhouse restaurant near Bob Hope Airport and Burbank, California.[2][3][4]
In 2007, Bric became a member of the city council in Burbank, California.[5][1]
In 2008, Bric became the vice-mayor of Burbank.[1]
In May 2009, Bric became the mayor of Burbank, until May 2010.[6][7][8] He was followed as mayor by Anja Reinke, whil;e remaining on the Council.[9] The City Council selects the mayor from among its members annually.[9]
In November 2018, Bric sold his restaurant property to an investor and retired from the restaurant business. Gary Bric's Ramp closed for business at the end of November 2018.[4][5] The steakhouse later reopened under a new owner as "The Ramp" without Bric's name.[5]
Restaurant[edit]
The restaurant "Gary Bick's Ramp" has been described by the Los Angeles Eater as having been "Lifted Right From the 70's" and as having "a chummy community feel."[2] Bric tended the bar there several nights a week.[2] Some local business owners complained that the restaurant was allowed to enter the "Best of Burbank" run by The Burbank Leader, although it was not actually within the boundaries of Burbank.[10]

Personal life[edit]
In 1953, Bric moved to Burbank, California. Bric's wife is Shelly Bric. Bric and his family live in Burbank, California.[2][1]
