Gary A. Wales (born 29 September 1995) is a Scottish actor and Film & TV Producer. He has received various accolades as an actor, director, and producer who worked in the short film 2Late,[2] Rage and in short films such as Love Bites and No Answer and the television series Game of Thrones.
Early life[edit]
Wales was born in Falkirk, the son of Carol Avery & Alex Wales. He grew up in Bo'ness until the age of 12 and then he and his family moved to Armagh in Northern Ireland in 2007. He attended Bo'ness Academy for half of his first year in High School and then when he moved he went to City of Armagh High School where he took on the remaining of the years in High School. He originally wanted to be a airline pilot, and he let go of that dream but then when he got his first taste of acting in school nativity plays [3], he didn't stop. Studying Performing Arts at the Southern Regional College in Armagh he started to focus on Acting. Wales is a Christian and was baptized in Oklahoma [4] [5].
Career[edit]
Gary Wales embarked on his acting career in 2008, taking on the lead role Oliver Twist (character) in the musical "Oliver Twist"!. His theatrical pursuits continued as he played Kenickie in the 2012 production of Grease. Transitioning to television, he secured a non-speaking role in a Game of Thrones (season 6)[6] [7]. Wales explored diverse roles in various movies.
In 2014, Wales ventured into filmmaking, co-producing and directing the short film 2Late filmed in Armagh.[8] On September 27th 2Late held it's Red Carpet Premiere at the Armagh City Hotel. [9] [10]
His talents expanded beyond acting when he worked as a fashion model for House of Ikons at London Fashion Week in 2018.[11][6]
Venturing to Oklahoma, USA, in 2019, Wales spent a month filming "The Deal."[12]
The year 2022 marked the red carpet premiere of Gary Wales's short film, "RAGE," [13] at the Hippodrome Cinema, Bo'ness[14]. The film gained recognition at film festivals, earning Wales the Actor [15] award at the Halicarnassus Film Festival in Bodrum, Turkey. "RAGE" received positive reviews [16], emphasizing Wales's powerful portrayal of a character grappling with substance addiction.[17]
In 2023 Gary took on a surgical operation in Istanbul, Turkey by doing a Hair transplantation with Now Hair Time he said in a Interview. [18]
Gary Wales will next play Detective Danny Hays in the new MainStream Short Film Dark Forest due for release in September 2024, which will then lead into a Series.[19]
Nevis Studios[edit]
In 2023, Gary Wales founded Nevis Studios, specializing in producing micro-budget movies that grant directors full creative control. Dissolving his first production company, GAW Films, Wales relocated Nevis Studios to the USA, where he and his team now operate. Notably, in 2023, Nevis Studios and Gary Wales received accolades, winning Independent Film Studio CEO of the Year[20] and Most Innovative Film Producer of 2023[21]

In September 2023, Gary Wales celebrated the publication of his first book, Scars: for the ones that got away courtesy of Blurb, Inc.. The book made its debut on major platforms like Barnes & Noble[22] and Amazon.com Inc.[23]. It gained a lot of popularity on his TikTok, Scars Features 100 Poems that he wrote based on his previous encounters with relationships.
Scars: for the ones that got away is a collection of 100 poems, each intricately woven from Wales's personal experiences in past relationships. The raw and introspective nature of the poems resonated with readers, contributing to the book's widespread appeal.
