Gaurav Medatwal (born 18 Sep 1995) is an Indian playback singer from city of lakes Udaipur, Rajasthan . He was the 1st runner up of the TV show India’s Got Talent season 8 in 2018 hosted by Colors Channel as one of the lead singers of the musical band The Live 100 Experience which came up in the show with a unique concept and was led and produced by one of the finest musicians of the industry Mr Prince Mulla.
He got his first Bollywood break in Hrithik Roshan starrer flick ‘Super 30’ where in he lent his voice in the soulful song ‘Niyam Ho’, composed by ace composer duo Ajay-Atul.He added feathers to his cap as he has also lent his voice for the theme song for the living legend Amitabh Bachchan hosted show Kaun Banega Crorepati for the year 2019.Apart from Bollywood, he has also lent his voice for 2 songs in a Rajputi Rajasthani Based Film named “Suryapratha”.He is currently working on independent music.
Early Life[edit]
Gaurav has completed his schooling from Udaipur, Rajasthan itself and he was a keyboardist wherein he use to play in school prayers and school level competitions. Soon that interest brought him in Singing.Soon after that he came to pune to complete his education and here he got lots and lots of opportunities to fight as a singer and he won many awards at college level and outside college. A time came when he got a good IT job but he decided to persue music amd shifted to mumbai. Here he studied Sound Engineering from Sound Ideaz Studios under the guidance of Mr Pramod Chandorkar, whos owns the institute and is also the Sound engineer of Legend Sonu Nigam.Along with it he took classical vocal training from a guru .Gaurav got his hindustani classical training from his guru Mrs Rita Kaul in mumbai who has also trained Bollywood singer Armaan Mallik since Childhood.Just then he got to work in one of the Biggest Sound companies in mumbai named SOUND.COM as a sound engineer.After joining sound.com , he got a chance to be a part of India’s Got Talent with the band “THE LIVE 100 EXPERIENCE “ as one of the lead singers because of which he had to leave his job as sound engineer and the band turned out to be the Runners Up of the show in season 8.Then more such opportunities led him to be a part for few big projects like Hrithik Roshan’s movie “Super 30” under the guidance of Legendary Music Directors Ajay Atul and he also led his voice for the theme song of the Very popular show “Kaun Banega Crorepati” hosted by the legend Amitabh Bachchan.
