Gene Fallaize (born 1984) is a British writer and director, known for Control starring Kevin Spacey.

Early life[edit]

Fallaize was born in Kettering, England. At the age of four he moved to the island of Guernsey in the Channel Islands. He worked in television and radio, including for local commercial radio station Island FM, before moving back to the UK at age 17.[1][2]

Career[edit]

Having written and directed several short films and independent feature films, Fallaize came to prominence when he cast actor Kevin Spacey in the upcoming British action thriller film Control.[3][4]

In November 2022, Fallaize told Variety that he wrote the screenplay with Spacey in mind. When asked about the controversy in casting the Hollywood star, who faces ongoing legal battles due to allegations of sexual assault, Fallaize said it was "a consideration, I wouldn't say it was a concern".[5]

His previous works include the fan film Superman: Requiem. He has since attended Comic Con events. [6]

Fallaize produces films through his own production company, Cupsogue Pictures.[7]
