General Reserve Engineers Force

The General Reserve Engineers Force, mostly known as GREF, is an engineering force in India. It was raised in 07 May 1960 to develop the infrastructure of the India border area. Most of the eastern borders of India is difficult terrain, with harsh climatic conditions.

The force consist of men from both GREF and Army. The force is head by Border Road Development Board.
