General Reserve Engineers Force
The General Reserve Engineer Force, mostly known as GREF, is an engineering force in India. It was raised on 07 May 1960 to develop the infrastructure of the India border area. Most of the eastern borders of India are difficult terrain, with harsh climatic conditions.
The force consists of men from both GREF and the Army. The force is headed by the Border Road Development Board.
