Genesis Park is a Houston-based lower middle market private equity firm that focuses on investments in information technology, telecom, financial services, energy and transportation and logistics in the Southern U.S.[1] The firm was founded in 1999 by Paul Hobby, Peter Shaper and Steven Gibson.[2]
The firm specializes in private and public carve outs, management buyouts, distress situations, growth capital and family and founder led businesses.[3] Typical investments have revenue of $5M-100M and EBITDA of $2M-20M.[4]

January 2013: ipDatatel.[13] ipDatatel was acquired by Alula Holdings, LLC in 2018.[14]
March 2002: CapRock Communications.[15] Genesis Park exited CapRock Communications in 2006.
