Genetek Biopharma GmbH was founded in 2017 on a mission to develop solutions for accurate molecular genetic diagnosis and identification[4]. Genetek is now a developer and manufacturer of a wide range of molecular diagnostic kits and products for detection of human genetic disorders, human identification and animal genetic testing, based on the latest research and utilizing state-of-the-art technology.

Genetek Biopharma GmbH product portfolio encompasses several molecular diagnostic kits for fluorescent-based Multiplex PCR for the detection of aneuploidies[5] including Trisomy 21 (Down syndrome or +21), Trisomy 18 (Edwards syndrome or +18), Trisomy 13 (Patau syndrome or +13); detection of male infertility[6] (i.e. Y chromosome microdeletion and Y chromosome deletions); linkage and haplotype analysis for more than 60 diseases including Duchenne Muscular Dystrophy, Hemoglobinopathies (i.e. Sickle Cell Disease, beta-thalassemia), Haemophilia A, as well as kits for specific disorders such as Huntington’s disease, Myotonic dystrophy, SMA.

Genetek animal parentage and profiling kits include GT Equine for horse parentage testing is unique in having allelic ladder for fast and accurate allele calling.
