Gentner Drummond

Gentner Frederick Drummond is an American attorney and politician from Oklahoma.

Drummond graduated from Hominy High School in Hominy, Oklahoma,[1] and Oklahoma State University–Stillwater.[2] He enlisted in the United States Air Force, and served for eight years.[3] Reaching the rank of captain, Drummond flew a F-15C Eagle.[1] He led the first combat mission of the Persian Gulf War on January 17, 1991,[2] and completed 32 missions and with 190 hours of flight time during the conflict.[1] Drummond earned a Distinguished Flying Cross.[2]

After his military service, Drummond then worked as a staffer for U.S. Senator David Boren before earning a Juris Doctor at Georgetown University Law Center.[3] He was a Republican candidate for attorney general of Oklahoma in the 2018 election, which he lost to Michael J. Hunter.[4]

Drummond ran for attorney general again in the 2022 election.[5] He defeated John M. O'Connor in the primary election.[6]

Drummond has six children.[2]
