Geoff Simmons is the first Deputy Leader of The Opportunities Party (TOP), and 2017 candidate for Wellington Central.

Early life[edit]

Geoff grew up barefoot in Okaihau (Far North) and West Auckland. He has now lived in Wellington for more than 15 years, working as an economist for a variety of organisations such as Treasury and the Morgan Foundation. [2]

Entering politics[edit]

In the 2017 Mount Albert by-election, he stood as a candidate for TOP[3]. Simmons came third in the by-election, with 623 votes, giving him 4.56% of 13,649 valid votes.[4]
