Private George Kalamuri MM was a South African soldier during World War II, serving in the Native Military Corps as part of the South African 2nd Infantry Division. He was awarded the Military Medal for bravery for his actions recovering wounded from the battlefield during the battle for Sidi Rezegh, Libya on 22 and 23 November 1941.[1][2]
