The Georgian National Identity Card (Georgian: ეროვნული პირადობის მოწმობა), is a compulsory identity document issued to every Georgian citizen residing in Georgia. It is compulsory to obtain the identity card from 14 years of age, within a period of 6 months, otherwise the person will be subject to a fine.
The identity cards are issued by the competent Georgian authorities regarding the issuance of identity cards.
International Travel
The Georgian National Identity Card can be used in lieu of a passport in Armenia, Turkey, and Ukraine.
