The Ghost of Kyiv or the Ghost of Kiev is a Ukrainian Air Force fighter ace known for single-handedly taking down 6 Russian planes while piloting a MiG-29 Fulcrum during the first day of the 2022 Russian invasion of Ukraine. The identity of the pilot is currently unknown.[1]
The Ghost of Kyiv has allegedly downed 2 Su-35 fighters, 1 Su-27, 1 MiG-29 and 2 Su-25 planes on 24 February around the area of Kyiv, and would be the first fighter ace in the 21st century, though there is no confirmation of this pilot.[2]
