Giggster was started by Yuri Baranov in 2017. By 2018 the company included more than 3000 locations, in Los Angeles, San Francisco, New York, and Atlanta, on its marketplace.[1]
According to media reports, Giggster has been used by celebrities including Lil Nas X, Megan Fox, fashion houses including Gucci, H&M and Vogue, and studios including Netflix, HBO, Disney and Hulu.[2] The company had also hosted Prince Harry and Meghan Markle's Santa Barbara mansion on its marketplace.[3]
Operations[edit]
Giggster acts as a broker and charges a commission on each booking made through the company’s website or mobile application. The rental spaces can be used for creative projects such as film production, music video productions, performances or formal use such as office meetings, events, etc.[1][4]
As of August 2022, the company operates locations in United States, Canada, New Zealand and United Kingdom.[5][2][6] Through the acquisition of Event Birdie in 2022, the company also operates in Australia.[7]
