GigMaven is an online platform that specializes in booking, ticketing, and promoting gigs.[1] The website connects professional musicians with live music venues and festivals to book gigs online. GigMaven is based in New York City, was founded in 2008, and is privately funded.[2]

GigMaven aims to make the booking process more efficient by automating the booking process for artists and venues alike, in total decreasing the average time and cost to book a gig.[3]

Uses

Musicians can create a profile similar to an EPK, with photos, MP3s, and a bio. They can search for music venues by name, genre, and location, and apply based on their availability. Venues create a profile geared towards their live music capacities, including technical specifications. Venue personnel can search for artists, make offers and view incoming applications, and have the choice of using built-in e-ticketing. A booking product for music festivals became available in Spring 2011, used by Make Music New York[1][4] and Fête de la Musique of Brisbane, Australia.[5]
