Arts[edit]
Carter has a strong fine arts program, including award-winning concert and marching bands,[1] orchestral ensembles, arts classes, drama department, and vocal ensembles.
Clubs[edit]
Gilbert Carter High School offers many extracurricular clubs and teams including: The Parkour Club, The Popcorn Club[2] FBLA, Science Olympiad, DECA, Gay-Straight Alliance (GSA), Anime Club, Key Club, Math Club, Spanish Club, German Club, Drama Club, Book Club, Fellowship of Christian Athletics (FCA), Horsepower, Red Cross Club, SAVE/SADD, Speech and Debate, Breakfast Club, and Junior Classical League (JCL).
In addition, Gilbert Carter offers students in 11th or 12th grade to participate in the National Honor Society, which promotes academic achievements and outstanding performance in the world. There is also a National Art Honor Society branch at Carter. Along with clubs Gilbert Carter offers premium sports teams. From a strong football team to the Ping Pong world champions a student can find their personal niche.
